I’m sixteen and just got a job as a receptionist at a Dentist’s office and I know I’m not going to get a strightforward and easy answer from digging around the internet so I wondered if anyone here could just give me a clear explanation as to what dental insurance is and how it’s different from medical insurance. I have been told that i need different types of insurance to supply coffee/tea to a store. Somethings that have crossed my path are bonding, liability insurance. Can someone explain this to me please?

My understanding is that when you get a moving violation (e.g, a speeding ticket), the police or the courts or whoever will notify your insurance company. When your insurance company finds out and finds out about the points that are now on your license, they raise your insurance premium. However, a friend tells me that he’s received several speeding tickets, that his insurance company has never found out (meaning no one is notifying his insurance company), and that his premium has therefore never gone up. How is that possible?
I received dental treatment under the notion that my insurance would cover all charges beyond my co-payment. I called ahead of time to ensure what my co-payment would be. I gave my dentist my new insurance card prior to treatment and the woman made a photo copy of it. After all treatment and insurance submission, turns out my insurance would no cover two of the fillings. Now, I am stuck with a $200+ bill. Does this seem correct, am I just stuck with the bill or is there something more I can do?
I am interested in becoming an car insurance agent. I want to do this part time, but I don’t know how to get started? I can go to school to get the degree to sell insurance, but how do you get the connections to sell the various types of insurance ?
