A brother and sister from Diamond Bar have been arrested on suspicion of insurance fraud after investigators found a video on the Internet that appears to show their sports car being crashed during an illegal street race.
Investigators say 21-year-old Jay Chen and his 29-year-old sister, Tracy Chen, initially gave conflicting reports about what caused $76,000 in damage to Jay’s 2009 Nissan GT-R supercar.
After the video was discovered on YouTube, prosecutors charged Jay Chen with six counts of felony insurance fraud. His sister is charged with one count.
They were booked March 5. Both face prison time and fines if convicted.
